I just created a dub package. Frankly, the whole thign is backward.

Yes, I think this makes sense. If it is true that Dub can 
generate *cmake* builds then it means that Dub packages can later 
be converted to other package managers that does not use Dub. If 
this actually is possible with Dub today or could be made 
possible, in a transparent way, then that would be a very 
important quality to obtain/retain.
