Wanna know the worst part? `rdmd` has been deprecated for... 
about 6 years now. A replacement was written that is about twice 
as fast, leveraging a major improvement to the compiler (the -i 
switch).

Care to guess what happened to it... and the people who wrote 
those contributions?
