Seeing the small size of this community, this should be taken 
very seriously. I saw this argument before and saw some people 
because the problem you mentioned.

I would be worried losing contributors in a free project like 
this, and I think I probably would talk to them and try to smooth 
things a bit.

Finally sorry if this disrupting the topic (About Fork), I'll 
refrain for now on, I just think that post is a serious issue and 
something that led the creation of this topic/fork and again 
should be reflected.
