FreeBSD 4.7 Stable, 40 MaxDamemonChildren, mysql reports about 8 queries/sec.
I'm going to try the latest relaydelay which has an option to limit threads...

Switching 500 users to a new mail transport is not something I'm much
thrilled about, as I expect it's a matter of trading one set of gotchas
for another.  The devil you know...

I might try it on another system for while though...
