1. Do you have reverse processing? i.e. Do outgoing messages "prime" your system so that it will immediately accept incoming e-mail which matches the outgoing message?

2. Bagley (a greylisting system for Exim4) also supports partial matches.  If it sees a delivery attempt from an IP address and sender e-mail address combination that it has seen before, it will accept the message, but without flagging that sender triple as being one it is definitely happy with.  I don't know if any other greylisting system uses this method.

3. You could enter manual whitelist entries for hosts/networks which are "popular" origins for e-mail which you know to be running proper MTAs.
