I changed the timers lately, seeing that infected pcs are no defeating the
limit I'd previously set.  Since the infected devices are now retrying, I guess
changing timers may be futile, since their retry times will just get longer an
longer and could end up indestinguishable from any valid sender.

To force negotiation of a longer time, I purged the database of valid relays.

Unfortunately, a side-effect appears to be that we can't get mail from gmail
now that the database was cleared.

It looks like google retries from inconsistent ips.  Does anyone have a
whitelist for gmail?

This is a student's attempt to send to himself here.  The occasional accidental
IP matches succeeded; the others failed.
