Eric,

Have you tested the GPS dongle you bought yet? Do you know if it's a parallel receiver? Just wondering if it's worth picking one up while they are on sale.

I have been working on robot navigation lately and I found the following
articles to be very helpful in explaining how to do robot odometry.

http://www.geology.smu.edu/%7Edpa-www/robots/doc/odometry.txt

http://www.geology.smu.edu/~dpa-www/robo/Encoder/imu_odo/

It turns out that returning to the exact spot to where you started is a lot
harder problem than you initially think.
