Dear First Night Artist:

Due to road closures and the expected large crowd, there have been a few
changes in the parking situation for First Night 2007. Here are the
available parking options for the day of the event:

#1: Waterloo Park. Capital Metro will be running continuously from
1:30pm b
parking garage and take Capital Metro free of charge (map of free
parking garages attached).

#2: 823 Congress Avenue parking garage. All day fee: $5.

#3: 301 Congress upper level parking garage. Artists may enter the
garage from 12:30pm b
free of charge. The entrance to the upper level parking garage is off
Brazos. If you would like to remain in the garage after 10:30pm, you
can move your vehicle to the lower lever garage and pay the standard
rate. YOU MUST HAVE ARTIST PARKING PASS TO PARK IN THIS LOT. (This is
the best option if you are not planning on staying for the entirety of
the event.)

#4: City Hall parking garage. Take southbound Guadalupe approaching
3^rd street to access garage properly. Easiest access periods are from
2pm b
charge but will be /extremely/ crowded, so plan on arriving early if you
would like to secure a spot. YOU MUST HAVE ARTIST PARKING PASS TO PARK
IN THIS LOT.

Please take these options into consideration as you plan out your
arrivals/departures from downtown. The attached map of all road
closures should help in the advanced planning as well.

We are asking that each of you come by the First Night office at some
point between Thursday, December 14^th and Thursday, December 28^th to
pick up your artist parking pass(es) and artist credentials. Someone is
scheduled to be in the office from 9:30am b
please call the office or my cell phone before you come so we can make
sure someone is here.

THANK YOU for being apart of this wonderful eventb
at work, putting the final touches on your performances, pieces, and
installations and we cannot wait to see it all come together!!! Please
call or email if you need absolutely anything.
