Has anyone heard news about the OLPC XO laptop?

Its designed for 3rd world countries. Its a ~$100
laptop 500mhz 128mb ram, usb ports, no harddrive
(500mb flash) Linux OS. Most importantly it is a very
low power device (possibly 10% of typical laptop) so
might be great for robotics. Since it's designed to be
a non-profit device for mass distribution to low
income children it may be hacker friendly. The only
problem is that they will not be available for sale,
only for distribution to schools in bulk through large
government initiatives. The technology will hopefully
filter down to the toy market. At least there could be
more kids out there soon with access to computers and
robotics than before.
