[Robotgroup] RE; Any suggestion on motion sensor

Hi all,

I am working on a project and need some technical advise.In this project, I
have a mechanical flower that start to blossom, blinking and sing song when
it sense motion near it. And stop all the action when the motion stop.

I try to use the "Ping" sensor to sense motion, but the range may be too
short.  I would like to have at least 2 to 6 feet of sesning range.   Do you
have any suggestion for motion sensor  that may work for this project?  Any
idea how to interface the sensor with Stamp II?
