[Robotgroup] Dorkbot October 12th! :)

So, we managed to get most everything done for Dorkbot yesterday 
(October 12th). Surprisingly, we didn't end up with many pictures! 
Denise sent me some of hers and I mixed a few of mine in to create this 
page:

Things went very well. :) Both flowers "worked" (mostly) as designed. 
Denise & PYs flower was very flashy and drew lots of attention... Ours 
was (by design) a bit more "shy". :)

Nic got to sit in and play trumpet with "attic Ted" a... uhm... 
"alternative" musical entertainment group... ;) He had a blast. :)

It was too bad that we didn't get a chance to talk to the people *after* 
the presentations, but it was difficult to talk with the band playing. 
:( I had a number of people approach the table to ask questions and we 
had trouble shouting over the band so many just sort of gave up.

On the upside, we had lots of people interested in the things we created 
and its helping to rebuild the reputation of the robot group as people 
see new things coming out... I imagine the next one, with the spin art 
machine and the premiere of the Sisyphus, should be even more exciting!

My thanks to Denise, PY, Kym, Paul, Rick and everyone else (I cant 
remember how many people worked on the projects!) for being available 
and helpful. Thanks also to Ed for keeping an eye on Sami while we all 
"dorked" about.

A good time was had by all.
