[Robotgroup] So.. the un-agenda meeting... comments?

One attendee's opinion (your mileage may vary):

- just as much fun was had by all,
- more time dedicated to Show & Tell (cool photo's and fan James),
- effective synopsis of the last event attended (Open Mic),
- just as much information transferred regarding upcoming events (DorkBot),
- all the visitors were recognized and invited to introduce themselves
(Vadim's guys),
- no notes needed to be taken (as Gray pointed out).

But more importantly, LESS of the President's time had to be spent on:

- nicely crafted but unappreciated agenda printouts,
- scheduling for guest speakers or projects being displayed,
- needless rambling and embarrassing admissions about committees that
didn't have any updates,
- a formal process for a social/technical group more interested in chat and
fun than structure.

Anyone else have any views that differ from mine, please post.

I'd rather see Vern able to spend more time on personal projects so he's
energized about
things that he's good at and show his talents, such as Therepings, SoundGin
updates, etc.
I'd hate to see Vern get burned out with activities that don't get people
jumping up and
down in the aisles, such as agenda printouts, scheduling Show & Tell,
etc. Do what you
do best, Vern, and let the less appreciated stuff fall by the
wayside. Many thanks for
all your efforts so far. First quarter complete and three more to go.
