Has anyone heard ANYTHING from Tom's family? Did they get the card
and the plaque that was sent, and if they did, were they upset or did
they enjoy the tribute that we offered for the influence Tom had on
all of our lives?
It makes me sad that his legacy will be a group of people far away
from and completely disconnected with his family. It's unfortunate,
because I know his friends and colleagues in Austin could genuinely
provide his family a lot of additional support.
We all do miss Tom quite a bit. His legacy in Austin will long
affect so many people. I hope he can somehow sense how dearly we
would want him to know that we care for him so very much.
By the way. Anybody want to start taking bids on the monthly rent on
his parking space at Half Price Books? My first bid is $5.
