What?: Bats and Cat’s Annual Halloween Member Event
When?: Sunday, October 29th, 2007
Where?: City Hall & Austin Children’s Museum, 2^nd Street

Attendance in 2006 – 744 people

Austin Children’s Museum is seeking enthusiastic and creative talents to
participate in our parade portion of this years “Bats and Cats” event.
We’re looking for cyclists, jugglers, mimes, stilt-walkers, dancers,
actors and musicians to _lead_ the parade.  We will be parading from
City Hall down 2^nd Street and end at the Museum.  The entire parade
should not take longer than 45 minutes.  We’d like to have performers
arriving at City Hall at 4:45 p.m., given the 5:00 p.m. parade start
time.  The end of the parade will be close to 5:30 p.m., when the doors
of the Museum will open.

Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun once we reach the Museum, but
it isn’t required.  At the Museum, we will have activities, a
non-haunted house, cookies & pumpkin decorating, fun foods and a picture
station.  Everyone will be in costume, of course, including all the
little kids.

We’re asking for in-kind support, but can offer a small stipend to
performers.

In addition, you’ll receive a lot of free advertising – to our Members
and the 2^nd Street District vendors.  We’re willing to hand out
business cards, give you recognition & advertising on our website and
possibly address everyone in one banner inside the Museum.
