[Robotgroup] Weather Spotter free training tomorrow

The Weather Spotter training was pretty interesting. Glenn was there
as well as Tami and Bob Martin. In fact, about 80% of the audience
members were hams. I felt like I absorbed about half the information
presented at most but I do understand thunderstorms much better now.
I won't be chasing any storms but there was indeed one guy there
talking about the chase team that he heads up. He admitted that the
Weather Service does not approve of their activities and when the NWS
local chief spoke he concurred emphatically and showed some chase team
videos. NWS does not consider "Holy Cow!" to be part of the official
lexicon for describing tornadoes.
I don't know what kind of immediate help the victims would need
most but from what I saw of the aftermath from the 2002 Guadalupe River
flood, I would say that the need for chainsaws and dump trucks tends to
linger for many months after the event.
