I too am shocked. We all lost a good friend. I will miss him.
I forwarded Eric's email to the GoodWill (Linux) Lug group. Tom used to drive
me to their meetings before my school schedule interfered.

I think the idea of a wake is a good and healing one, but please don't hold it
on Saturday. Bob and I have already committed 14+ hours each to a ham-radio
fundraiser that can't be rescheduled.

To everyone- PLEASE take care of yourselves.

PS: Sonia et al -

my non-spam reply to [Sonia] couldn't get past the "spam barrier" because my
email is not connected to the web; clicking on the link only spawns an error
message here. Those of you who can can control your "allowed" incoming email
list manually, can receive private correspondence from me - otherwise all our
conversing must be over the list. That goes for everyone who puts web
barriers up to "protect" tmemselves from spam. Chances are you're gettting
tons of spam but nothing much of substance from people you night really want to
hear from.

(Who is really pissed off about being treated as a spammer by default because
I'm smart enough to avoid high ISP charges.)
