May I ask for a show of hands as to who would be willing to pay some  
***non-zero*** amount for use of such a facility?

Many people who live in Austin truly do not understand what a small  
town Austin still is. Although the people here are generally tech- 
oriented, there are just not enough of them to pay for a facility the  
size of Techshop solely with their dues. I would gently suggest that  
it might be easier to convert a pre-existing and functional facility  
into a Techshop rather than try to convince one to move in from out  
of state. Some of you know this is what I have been working on while  
also running my primary business. While I have nothing to publicly  
announce at this time, I would like to invite anyone with an interest  
in such a project to contact me at your convenience. Constructive  
criticism of the idea will also be graciously accepted as it has  
already done some good.
