[Robotgroup] Tech Shop

Are you suggesting everyone sign up and then sit back and hold your
breath in anticipation, waiting for someone else to make a decision
as to how worthy we are of a Techshop? Even if many, many people sign
up, Techshop is still going to want to know how many people are
actually going to pay anything for the classes or shop use. The money
to pay their bills is going to come out of your pocket, not theirs,
or they will not open a shop here.

I am asking how many people would be willing to pay ***anything***
right now. Would you pay Techsop's $100 a month? It it worth it?
Would you pay less for less tools or less access? Where is the sweet
spot? All these data points are valuable. Signing up on an out-of-
state mailing list does not get you the answers to these questions,
it gives them to someone else.

And by the way, there is an extremely precious thing that is lost
when you sit around and wait for someone else to provide facilities
for you - time. If you want a facility sooner rather than later, it
will take more involvement then sending an email to California. That
is why I am also asking for anyone with a genuine interest in a local
project to contact me.

Respectfully,
Les
