LOR is quite the rage on many halloween and xmas decorating sites. It 
sprang to the forefront when the "wizards of winter" xmas light video 
made its viral video debut last year.. (or was it the year before?).

LOR is pretty neato, but a bit pricey. For those of you who prefer to 
roll your own stuff, there is a nice free alternative project called 
"vixen" that allows the use of lots of devices.. EFX-TEK is using it to 
control their new FC-4 light fader board. Details on vixen are here:
