[Robotgroup] LED art display

This looks like the technology that I saw at the display
manufacturing company here in Austin. I worked with them on an
acrylic display product that was going to be edge-lit, but their
requirements for the final effect in the clear sheet made that
material unsatisfactory.

They manufacture a whole slew of cool LED lighting stuff meant for
architectural installations, rather than hobbyists and toy collectors.

They're called 'Versa Tiles' from the company www.elementlabs.com
right here in river city. They're individually controlled
cluster-arrays of LED's inside a modular box that is serially linked
to any and all other units in the array. Think MONDO-SIZED pixels
that can emulate any color of the rainbow, and then constructed into
a panel or wall in any configuration or final size that you can afford.

Cool technology!

I tried to set up a demo and preview at their site one time a year or
so ago, but since we meet after eight in the evening, it wouldn't
have worked very well to have them wait for us to show up.

Gray, look at their VersaTube product, similar to something that
you've already been working on for a little while. They also make
and sell an LED rope product that is custom cut by the foot with
pre-scored marks every twelve inches. I was impressed with their stuff!

There may be another company out there that does similar stuff, but
when I saw the Dell Children's Center news brief, I recognized that
Butterfly Wall instantly and figured it was Element Labs.
