Ok, so I'm exploring some ideas for the Thereping and wanted to find out 
if anyone here knows how to build a MIDI Through jack for a microcontroller.

I have assumed (maybe incorrectly) that a MIDI through jack would 
require the microcontroller to accept the incoming serial stream, then 
"merge" that stream with whatever new MIDI data is supposed to be sent.

Can anyone shed light here? TIA!
