[Robotgroup] Such a Loss

The essence of The Robot Group has always been the harmony
and cacophony of the spirits of those involved. It is from that
spirit that ideas have taken form in the physical world, and lives
have been enriched.

That this spirit resonates in Austin, is no accident, it is a reflection
of the spirit and culture of creative souls attracted to the area.

We do what is needed to interact with the rest of the world,
in regard to red tape and paperwork. That is a piratical necessity
to provide a sanctuary for the spirit to exist and persist.

Participation in the projects is the defining element of membership,
not the paperwork. The paperwork is mainly a legal construct
of society, focused on liability, not on getting anything interesting
or fulfilling done.

Many have participated over the years and helped make
interesting things happen. That has always made the
"membership" uncomfortably fuzzy for some.

As long as we keep the ideas goals and spirit of the essence of
The Robot Group alive, the essence of the souls involved will
be with us, despite the circumstances of their physical situation.

Tom and Joe Perez are with us in spirit. Keep the spirit alive
and we honor them and move forward with activities they
would enjoy and promote. Consider what they might do in
a particular situation, and their spirit still finds expression in
the physical world.

Keep the gatherings and projects going. It is what they want.
