In days of Yore.. when I worked on stand-up arcade games, kids would
spill drinks into the machine and the PC boards would get a nasty
coating of black sugar syrup and dust... I would pull the board out of
the machine and then take them to the industrial dish washing machine in
the back. it used high temp steam and water jets... they came out
looking factory fresh. I'd used compressed air to remove the excess
water and then set them on a towel under a light to get them dry. Put
them back in the machine and presto! All better. :)

Good advice! If you're having trouble with your annular ring, wipe it
with something damp and make sure its clean. Especially if you had the
flux. .. What?
