[Robotgroup] Casting plastics

I would be interested in participating in this class/learning exercise also.
I don't have any practical experience molding with resin, although I have
done a few projects with fiberglass and also using silicon (similar to
caulk) to take and make molds.
There is a competitor to Smooth-On called Alumalite that some of the local
hobby shops carry. (If you need instant gratification :-) )
The May issue of Servo Magazine has an article on mold making and resin
casting which might provide some background reading, if nothing else.
