[Robotgroup] A more complete list of blue ribbon awards from Maker Faire

For the record, the blue ribbon awarded for the Ponginator does NOT belong
to me, since I was only a small player in the creation, fabrication and
construction of the display. Many other people contributed to the
Ponginator being completed in time for the event, and I would be remiss if
I didn't acknowledge the tremendous help that was so eagerly provided to
bring this display to fruition.

When there's finally a place for TRG to call a home, I'll gladly surrender
the laminated sign and the blue ribbon award so everyone can remember what
so many helped with.

Vern Graner, for the original idea, the many creative iterations and
additions, from that first night in his kitchen to the last day before the
show, and all that great programming. His creativity made the empty frame
and thin tarp actually come to life!
Mike Scioli, for the willingness to step in and construct the four air
cannons while the other options were being considered.
Kym Graner and Denise Scioli, for assisting in the fabrication of the
Pong-skin (don't say that too quickly), and Kym again for the location to
do the work.
Rick Abbott, for his assistance in so may aspects, I actually have lost track.
Paul Atkinson, for his many hours of help with the last minute construction
details.
Alberto (2nd Weasel) Alonso, for his willingness to help construct the
shoulders, arms, cannons, and final assembly, when he should have been with
Glenda on her birthday. Changed any dirty nappies lately, DADDY?
John Herron, for joining TRG on Thursday 10/18/07 and stepping in at the
last minute to help assemble the Ponginator on Thursday and Friday, and
STILL be silly enough to hang around long enough to attend the show both
days, and even S-T-I-L-L be silly enough to be there when it came back
down. That's ambition!
Tom Davidson and Sonia Santana for helping during the assembly at Vern's
house, and again for helping to load and unload the trailer.
Robert (my memory for last names has just run out) for helping to setup,
tear down and then load/unload the trailer on Sunday.
James and Neesa (spellling?) for putting up with the booming cannons and
loud audio tracks pointed right at them all day, BOTH days.
Gray, Eric, and on, and on, and on . . .

(If I've not listed your name here, please do NOT be offended. My mind is
NOT what it once was, or will ever be).

It's when there's a deadline that we find out who's truly a member of The
Robot Group.
