I like the Energizer 15 minute rechargables (AA and AAA experience
only) They were way expensive, but nothing like being able to
charge them right when you need them.

I've also used powerhaus and powerex, they were both OK although
the powerhaus lasted less.

Regardless of brand I never got enough recharges to make me happy.
They advertise over 1000 charges and I've never got more than 50.
It may be something I'm doing wrong though. Now, they all get
discharged within a couple of days if I don't use them, which makes
the energizer even more useful than the others.

Altec Lansing has been running 8 years and counting on Glenda's
system with good quality sound (FYI we got the mid-tier not the
cheap stuff from them) But then again, you already have own them
so...

On mine I use a high end receiver and JVL speakers, but it is
an overkill.

If you have an old car amp you can really get loud with it, I run
for 3 years with a car based system (after my oldsmobile died :-(
and I could shake the house.
