Gray,
I think they sell some cartridge cleaning solution that I believe is water
and ammonia based. You might be able to dig around some ink-jet refill sites
and find out for sure. The ink is mostly water - "The ink is not considered
a toxic substance. It is mainly water, with a bit of ethylene glycol and
sometimes up to 3 percent alcohol added."
