[Robotgroup] Maker Faire Questions

Been a while sine i've been out there. We should probably do a recon and
take pics. I think the dirt is probably well packed from hooves. I
remember a main arena area and an area with stalls (litterally).

Link that already includes Maker Faire info and ticket sales is at

I am mainly worried about the dirt floor. We plan to bring a robot arm that
moves chess pieces. It is mounted on a .5" thick metal plate and must weigh
400 pounds or more. I emailed to see if they can find us a spot with a
cement slab.

Thanks,
Bob Comer

It's MOSTLY loose dirt.. it's the exhibit barn! The concrete seems
to be the pathways... I don't remember too clearly, though. I'm on
dirt. And the dirt is very loose and fairly thick (or was when I
visited). Y'all might want to visit the site.

Yup. No doors to lock.

That's mostly just a fire safety thing, I think. Batteries aren't as
likely to burst into flame when knocked over... the manual does
include contact info; the folks there are nice and don't bite.

Edwin!
