I'm one of the few people I know who had a job working on
"real" robots. These industrial robots could train themselves.
They had sensors that could detect the edges of 300mm wafers
and could define this as a "world" or location to fractions of a millimeter.
Boring!! Well, actually they were cool but i wouldn't bring one to dorkbot.
Here's a pic and there's even one on Ebay with the supinaiting
arm (flips wafer horiz/vert) but it doesn't come with the controller (a
$30,000 option.)
