I apologize John, I know you do write me thoughtful, long, detailed,
long, coherent, long, insightful (did I mention long?) offlist emails.

Every one has been chock full o' fascinating, meaty, thoughtful,
crunchy, interesting nougat content that require chewing and
contemplating and (ultimately)... responding. :)

I do read them, really I do! However, on an average day, (not counting
spam) I get about 500-1500 emails (some mailing lists are very high
volume!) so I don't always have the time to respond properly to each email.

FWIW, I leave messages in my in box flagged as "needs response" and then
I go after those during snippets of free time I cull from my day.

Frankly if one of those is 2 to 3 sentences, I can hit reply and bang
out an answer in a few minutes. If its a longer email I have to re-read,
digest/ compose/ proof an answer before sending so I usually pick the
"low hanging fruit" as it were .. :(

I really do try to get back to everyone though sometimes it takes a
while... Was there something specific I was supposed to respond to?
