[Article comments]:
From what I've read on the slashdot, Linux and Qualcomm sites, the whole
Eudora email discussion can get a bit like discussing new subscribers to
the RG.

For those that have used and continue to use the older versions of Eudora
because they like it for its features, they'll most likely never move to
TB, Penelope, or the latest incantation of Eudora.

For those that enjoy doing their mail on the web with app's such as GM, or
Y-oo because of the portability, they'll never move to the latest
incantation of Eudora.

For those that are stuck using older MS-O/S's because they're tightwads and
don't want to buy the latest and 'greatest' O/S for whatever reason,
they've been given the opportunity to download a free version of an older
Eudora client that works just fine, and will never move to the latest
incantation of Eudora.

And finally, NO, the latest version will NOT run on W98, or at least that's
what they're purporting as of this writing. Eudora 7.1, the last official
commercial distribution from Qualcomm (discontinued 05/2007 and discussed
at http://www.eudora.com/) only ran on 2000 and XP.
