Good, then you'll have plenty of time to tell me what I need to know about
wifi and 802.11

If you can tell me in a couple paragraphs:

1. What I probably need

B. What the things I don't need are.


Anyway the main thing is, like you folks we will be using his and hers
computers off of my cable modem.

I have some kind of Gigafast, Wan in, 4 ports out. Is this what I need?  We
may at some point want to go wireless so we can have the laptop downstairs
and not have to get so much exercise if we want to google something.
I've been reading a bit on some kind of switchy things with antennas that
come in N and G versions but that's where I get confused.
