[Robotgroup] Corporate Adopt A Robot program

A modest proposal :)

Some of you may recall that in days of yore, The Robot Group used to
solicit people/corporations to "adopt" a robot for a given period of
time. Here is the archival web site that shows how the program used to work:

http://web.archive.org/web/19961114045212/robotgroup.org/robofest/adopt.htm

I was considering how this program might be revived to solve a couple of
problems:

1) Storage - Placing a robot in a corporate lobby instead of "someones"
entry-hall (I will be moving soon and will not be able to store them!)

2) Providing revenue to fill the robo-coffers (since the number of fund
raising activities appear to be lower this year)

As a way to facilitate this, I considered creating some "Public Service
Announcements" (PSA's) that could be played on the radio.

These could be written to encourage corporations to "adopt" a robot and
have a robotic/ kinetic/ eccentric /electric one of a kind sculpture in
their lobby for a give period of time in return for a donation to the group.

Since we are a 5013c Corp, we should be able to get radio stations to
play a 30 second spots as part of their obligation to serve the public
with the public airwaves.

In order for this to work, we would need to have a contact person and a
simple web page that described the details of the program for people who
are enticed by the ad.

So, What I can volunteer to do would be to write, produce and record 30
second audio spots that could be used. Is there anyone that could handle
the other items?

:)
