Because show n tell at robot group already allows this and to have the  
guest speak afterwards with all the clamor going on would be  
distracting. We want to really respect and honor the guests coming to  
lecture.

I would suggest a formal once a month/every other month activity to  
host the Guest speaker and have a bigger room than the one at Heritage.

The meetings to which we invited speakers started off with a brief  
introduction followed by the presentation.  When the Q&A session  
following the talk finished,  there was ample opportunity for informal  
discussion.  I don't remember any show-and-tell or other organized  
activity after the presentations.  Usually some soft drinks, beer and  
snacks were available.

A bigger room than what is offered at The Heritage will require  
someone's time and effort to hunt one down.  They are available at a  
cost....  Not knowing exactly how many members and guests will show  
makes reserving a larger venue a real crap shoot.

I still like the idea but, Lord knows, it took a lot of Eric's time to  
hunt down speakers willing to talk to us.
