Since I was not able to go last night, I have no comparison, but in the
past...
I have seen some very good visual and audio presentations. There has
always been a PA since i have been going to them.
Even the ones I have been a Guest, the issue or problems with me were
with my files being able to play i.e. codec differences with the
computers or DVD players. I actually feel my speaking has not been as
bad as the difficulties which surrounded my being able to be ready to
present. When everything is not working and you have minutes to be on
stage, or for example SXSW Dorkbot when I was told minutes before hand
that I was presenting when I thought I still had 30 minutes to get
ready. Talk about stress, It always seems so to happen for me but I take
as a challenge and I just do my best. The Universe/powers that be know i
am capable of handling such situations so I am given them and I make due
and then afterwards I always ask people, did I suck up there?
Nerds, Geeks, Dorks, what ever you call Us/Them, seem pretty cool about
those things, no real Pre-Madonna attitudes that I have seen.We are all
just happy to see other nerds out there taking a chance to show their
wares and inventions and have the nerve to stand up on a stage and talk
about it. I am even capable of making bigger dork out of myself than
lets say our own fearless Pres and I don't even care what people think
really. That is what I like about this group so much, it is all about
the work and the ideas.
Hey and I think David N. Chase and the other Dork guys do a great job!
Thank you again, sorry I missed last night:)
