[Robotgroup] Earth Day!

Hi all--

Hi all--

I just added a note on the meetup calendar for the Austin Earth Day  
event.

About the whole Earth Day thing: it's great, I love it, I think it's  
very cool that we're taking part. However, I'm reminded of when I was  
showing off the ping pong printer at Plutopia, one woman asked about  
the whole concept of Plutopia (convergence, sustainability, futurism)  
and what all of that had to do with printing on ping pong balls.  
Particularly the sustainability thing. It caught me off guard, but I  
managed to come up with a halfway decent line about the whole maker  
philosophy, and people being able to create their own solutions and  
tools rather than relying on what they can buy at Wal Mart. I felt  
like I bluffed my way out of that one pretty well. But we should  
maybe start thinking now how to reply to questions about how these  
weird electrical things we build are supposed to help heal the planet.
