[Robotgroup] more about motor controllers

I am currently working with the Sabertooth 2x10. It has been very easy to
work with so far. There are several ways that you can send speed commands.
PWM for easy connection to existing R/C gear
Simple Serial
	Set the Baud Rate
	Send a number 1-127 = Motor1 128 - 255 = Motor 2
Packetized Serial Send a motor address, direction, speed, and
parity. You get twice the resolution on Packetized Serial over Simple
Serial.

It can run the motors on one voltage ex. 24vdc and the logic on another ex.
5vdc signal or 3.3vdc signal. It also has a handy 5vdc output that I am
using to drive the hall effect speed encoder on my motors.

I am using a propeller to connect to the Sabertooth 2x10 and it only took a
few moments to get it working in simple serial.

Oh, if you click on the product name or the picture it will go to the
product page and you can view the PDF from there....

The $65 and the $80 MCs are correct. Both are "Sabretooth 2x10".

Where are the PDFs? I can't seem to find them at first glance?

And I am confused at exactly which two you like the 2x10 right, $65 and $79
versions? Right?

I've given up trying to figure out how to work with the L298. These MCs
seem a little bit robust, and are still less than $100.

I'm looking at the two Sabretooth 2x10 dual MCs. AFAIK they have the same
specs for electronics. Both can handle up to 10A per channel (15A peak).

The first one is $65, but I am not sure if it will work with a BS2. It
says "Control = Standard RC pulses". The PDF has something at the bottom
about a Timeout "useful when running from a microcontroller like a Basic
Stamp.

The second one seems a lot more flexible control-wise -- it even receives
serial inputs.

So what do you guys think? Is it worth the extra $15? Is the cheaper one
not even a valid option?
