[Robotgroup] Troubleshooting TV remote control

I've been wanting to try hacking a TV remote to control a robot or some sort of general control device that will receive the signal into a basic stamp thingy and output to a relay or servo or something depending on how you have it programed.A box with a bunch of PWM outs,12VDCs,110VACs,Some 110VDC triacs for that ever so popular romantic mood lighting(or in my more likly case, shade controls for my robot girlfriend's eyes),and maybe hack some volume controls for my primitive TVs and stereos.
