[Robotgroup] Troubleshooting TV remote control

If you can borrow a universal remote that might be a good test to see if the
set works. What year is the set? I have a couple universl remotes, you can
borrow one to try if you don't get your hands on one by the next robot
meeting. You just need to try all the codes for your TV, usually 3-10 codes,
so a little tedious, but that way we can make certain the TV's receiver is
good or bad.

Thanks for the tips, Andre'.

I read somewhere a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away) that the
IR LEDs used in remote controls don't handle continuous operation very
well. I cannot put my finger on the source but the 'fact' stuck in my
head.

I do not have a compatible remote for this set. I will search for the
specs on the TV as well as for the remote.
