There are so many to choose from, I have tried a number of units which I
mostly ordered from ads in N&V, CC, and strolling the embedded systems con.
But, one thing I highly recommend is getting a PC104 footprint or smaller.
Try www.embeddedarm.com they have some nice ones for $129-229. That would
work for what you want to do. Also, you have to decide if you want to
ARM/linux or intel linux, the ARM is usually cheaper, but what's nice about
intel linux is that you can run the toolchains etc. on the PC as well and
its a little easier to work with since otherwise you have to cross compile
on the PC and download. Its just nice sticking to intel all the way around
IMO.

Subject: [Robotgroup] Embedded Gnu/Linux Hardware Recommendation?
Hey, can anyone recommend a good hobbyist board for using gnu/linux to
control robots?
Wishlist:
Under a few hundred dollars
A few hundred megabytes of flash memory
usb connector
some other lower latency port
ethernet
able to run in hard real time
Thanks!
Rhett
