I think that's implied by the "smiley" emoticon at the end of the 
comment. :) <-like that ;)

No sane person believes autonomous bots running amuck, killing people 
indiscriminately, is a good thing.

I think that since we already have companies working on "killbots" that 
the amount of autonomy of the bot comes into question. We already have 
various systems with various levels of autonomy that kill people (i.e. 
"smart bombs", cruise missiles and other computer-aided guidance systems ).

I think its obvious that the intent of the research is to get to a point 
where equipment can be sent into harms way instead of humans. No one 
would blink an eye at a headline on CNN entitled "Fourteen Peaceminder 
4000 Killbots were destroyed in a raid on terrorist stronghold".  But 
replace "Peaceminder 4000 Killbots" with "Marines from the 12th Cavalry 
Division" and its a whole 'nother story.
