Hi everyone--
My Parallax USB-to-serial adapter arrived today, and I can now report
that it is, repeat, IS possible to program a BS2 on a homework board
using a MacBook Pro running a Windows emulator.
I also tried MacBS2, the Mac OSX-based editor (not supported by
Parallax). No luck there. But hey, the Parallels thing works and I
don't have to start scouring Craigslist for a cheap used PC-- pretty
sweet!
Hardware specs:
MacBook Pro (Intel Core Duo, 2.33 GHz, late 2006 model) running
Windows XP Professional via Parallels Desktop (build 1970) and Basic
Stamp Homework Board (2006), connected with Parallax USB-to-232
Serial -LF adapter (Parallax item 28030).
That's my contribution to our collective body of knowledge for the
week. Hasta manana! No wait, it's after midnight. Hasta tardes! -- R
