Actually the event is scheduled for an indoors venue so the 
environmental extremes will be less intense, but I get the idea. Not 
exactly a perfect noise free (visual, RF or otherwise) area! :)

Thats kinda what I figured. The thing about using sensors on the robot 
is that we can't just hang sensors around the robot itself. We have to 
"hide" them in the existing external motif of an R2D2. I figured I could 
recess the CMU cam under the robot in the recessed area into which the 
center wheel would normally retract. We don't want to spoil the look of 
the droid.

Thats an interesting idea. Make multiple rings.. hmm... Lots to think
