Wow. Now thats an angle I hadn't thought about.. robust and low tech.. a 
"bump and turn" mechanism! :D The only thing I can think of would be 
approaching how to make the barrier robust enough to withstand the 
impact of the droid without having the droid drag the barrier along with 
it!
