Roboteers:

I've noticed that we've had more people showing
up for the meetings and in some cases they end up
standing in the back when there are plenty of chairs.

I would like to ask that if you do arrive early
that you please make use of all available space
up front and try to arrange the chairs so we have
maximum seating capacity.

So if you arrive and there is room, please try
and use the tables and chairs closer to the front
allowing the late-comers a place to sit when they come in.

Thanks! :)

Vern

Presented for group discussion:

All available chairs were put out and arranged at 1830 hrs.

In order to catch what is going on during the
BASIC Stamp II sig, folks need to sit behind the
table on which Donovan has the projector set up.

I notice that folks with laptops tend to sit
along the back, nearer to an AC power
outlet. Some might be enticed to perch closer to
the front if we provide another (perhaps, longer)
power strip that folks can tap into.

Tables along the left side (as you face the
screen) are not very useful since everyone has
their chair backs against the tables in order to
see the speaker / screen / presentation. We
might consider stacking those to make more room
to sit and maneuver between the attendees ...
less reason for later arrivees to herd about,
standing in the rear of the room or in the hallway.

Consider, too, a 'floor sign' (ala, DANGER Wet
Floor!) that could be stored in the kiln room and
placed in the hallway before each meeting ... The
Robot Group meeting this-a-way ----->.

Of course, the downside to all of this is that
someone(s) have to be there even earlier to do
the setup. Some of these someones would have to
get on the road even earlier than normal (cutting
eating, employment, family time shorter). In the
event that one or more of these someones are
vacationing, ill, boycotting or otherwise
unavailable, it is back to square one.
