Yes, ink carts are nuts, my laser color printer has CMYK of course and they 
are $140 each toner cartridge. But, at least with ink, you can use refurbs 
and if you want to get messy, definitely try buying the ink and replacing it 
in the carts. Its worth it if you do a lot of printing.

My high rez CD printers use multi carts as well, 6 of them, so I use these 
guys.

Also, my printer is still not working... can't afford the 5 ink
cartridges it requires :(
Thank you for your input. I may just have to do ghetto, but we will see.
I voted today and am all jazzed up about everything! Too much to do and
