SXSW is a really big set of events. And at the price,
you are either all in or out. You probably need a
guide person to lead you to the cool stuff. A lot of
out-of-towners come and fill up the town and we oblige
by upping the prices on all the hotels and parking. A
lot of us locals have never been because we can't
figure out exactly what SXSW is or how to approach it.
I don't think there is a limited, low price
get-your-feet-wet ticket.
As for dorkbot if you get there before the occupancy
is reached maybe the phrase "I am on the guest list!"
will get you in? Or they might have a list of the
registered emails?
