A couple of notes:

Bon is production lead re operations but Maggie Duval is co-producer and
Randy Jewart of Austin Green Art is also involved in coordination - so if
you need something and can't find Bon, find Maggie or Randy.

The description below makes the event sound tamer than we had in mind.
Originally we were planning a scifi B-movie theme, but when we learned that
Bill McKibben was going to speak, we decided to change that slightly - to a
green, utopian scifi B-movie theme... something to keep in mind. We're
seeing the event as a convergence of tech and green, something we plan to
carry forward in other events and showcases.

BTW Plutopia is not just the name of the event, but the name of the
futurist/tech/arts/green collective that's producing it, something Derek
Woodgate and I started working on a few years ago under the name Futurama.
Plutopia is a mashup of "pluralist utopias."
