1) Every question contains the seeds to its own answer, or something
like that. ;-)
2) "They" won't act responsibly. [By the way, does the prohibition
against waterboarding apply to felines? ;-)] "They" will only catch
the stupidist of the stupid among terrorists ... those who take the
interstate instead of the back roads ... those too dumb to encase
their radioactive payload in lead .... Then "they" will need cameras
in each and every room of each an every home to make certain that
they didn't miss someone.

4) 2008 has the potential to be even more frightening that the
scenario portrayed in "1984". I feel no more secure for the freedoms
