Hey everyone--
I got this message a couple of days ago from my friend Christy Loya,
another library school alum who now works as a school librarian for
Sanchez Elementary on Cesar Chavez. They need judges for their
science fair, and I thought some of the Robot Group members would be
perfect for the job.
Although the message below is a little vague, I checked with her
about when the group of judges would need to be present. She replied
that they could "sign up for as little as an hour for a day or more.
Or come for two hours on Wednesday and two hours on Tuesday-- anytime
during those school hours. They would be given a judging sheet and I
would refer their names and contact information to the science fair
teacher in charge".
The problem of course is the timing, since I think most of us have to
work during normal school hours. But I'm sure there are a small
handful that can find some free time then, maybe students/instructors
enjoying a break between semesters?
If interested, you should email Christy: christikki at yahoo.com .
Thanks in advance--
Robert
